What do you do when the one with the heroin is the hero but the Escobar in him is to be put behind the bars?
Esya’18 presents HuntIT, a Treasure Hunt ‘powdered’ with adrenaline that’ll bring out the most of your chasing and escaping skills, with mysteries pushing you ‘higher’.
Pablo Escobar, the drug-lord, is the inspiration to one of your teammates. He’s escaping with drugs from right under your nose, but all that high from last night is making you unable to catch him. You, as sincere cops, want to catch him, so we give you clues to find your way to him. However, you also want your dear Escobarian teammate to reach his destination, because, well.. where else does your stock come from? If you catch him before he reaches the final destination, you’re all out of danger, and he can eventually reach the destination to surrender sincerely, which is appreciated. However, if he reaches before you catch him, he’s put himself in potential danger and will lose a few points there. He can’t afford to be slow, so make sure you do it all in time because the drug dealers’ race, to see who reaches first, is an incentive too, for it gets your team additional points.
So, dress yourself down as a drug dealer or suit yourself up as a cop, together, if you make the unique team as great as it can be, then the prizes await you!
HuntIT is a completely non-tech fun event and will not give any unfair advantage to the participants from technical colleges or schools. It is an event to test your analytical skills.
The team size is 2-5. Cross-college and cross-school teams are allowed. Multiple teams from same college are allowed.
It will be a two day event in which the rounds of the second day, which will be the theme-based day, will require the teams to race across the city to carry out the hunt successfully.
Teams will face elimination through subsequent rounds leading up to the final day of the hunt.
No participant can be a member of more than one team.
Changing teams after registration is prohibited. Participants are requested to bring smartphones or atleast mobile phones with internet so that they can carry out the hunt without being held back due to the lack of internet. Even though we might be able to provide internet connection inside the campus, you’ll rely on your own internet packages when you are off campus.
Discussing answers with other teams would be regarded as violation of rules and an appropriate penalty would be applied (including instant elimination).
On day 2, only public transport will be allowed for travelling to places. Anyone found using their own vehicle will be eliminated.
In the elimination rounds, teams solving the rounds after a certain number of teams would be eliminated.
Organizers have the right to disqualify any team if they break any rule.
In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the organisers will be final and binding.
