Team size : | Ages : Any student from College(Undergrad) or School is allowed.
A Multiversal quiz consisting of questions not only from theoretical and practical astronomy but also questions based on the Star Wars universe.
The quiz will consist of 4-5 rounds on the day itself with an additional weekly giveaway contest (award only redeemable if they attend event)on the page starting from mid July to increase publicity.
Round 1: 25-30 Questions ranging from basic Milky way related topics , guessing people closely intertwined with the subject .This round will also contain 4-5 questions based on the star wars universe.This round would act as a screening round separating the more serious contestants from the casual ones.
Round 2: Questions based on historic and current significant astronomical event such as Halley's comet, discovery of planets etc.Also can include questions about current experiments being performed for future space travel.This round would narrow the number of contestants that continue down to 15.
Round 3: Questions related to deep space celestial bodies and weird phenomenons occurring/have occured in our universe. Trivia about most unique and intriguing celestial bodies present in the universe.This round will cut down the number of teams to 6.
Round 4: The last 6 teams would be participating in a buzzer round as well as team centric questions which may be passed and answered for lesser points. This would be the last round consisting of the hardest questions from an amalgamation of the above topics and anything else from the subject of astronomy. Points will be totalled and the number of teams cut down 3. The top 3 teams would be put through a practical based test and the marks of this last round will be totalled and winner will be proclaimed.
Team size of at most two is allowed
Cross-college/cross-school teams are allowed
Use of any electronic gadget(mobile phones, laptops, tablets, calculators, etc.) is prohibited
